ongoing: Iyengar Yoga Class 9:30-11:00 AM Monday

@ Dig Yoga Studio

204 North Union St. Lambertville, N.J. 08530 609 460-4222

I am a Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor.  I’ve been exploring, practicing and teaching the Iyengar technique since 1983.

I spent many years exploring the subject of yoga for women and wrote a practice manual on Yoga for Menstruation (available for purchase) to support women with understanding how to practice and why to make the changes suggested.

I founded two private studios, and am a founding member and faculty of the Iyengar Yoga Association of Greater New York. I teach weekly public classes, private yoga sessions, workshops on a vast array of subjects and retreats in lovely locations world-wide.  I also teach specail series classes at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of NYC.

Through three and a half decades as an Iyengar Yoga Instructor, I have been seeking within the Iyengar system ways to help my students and myself maintain health.

Ayurveda and Yoga grow out of the same roots in ancient India. For 5,000-10,000 years these sister sciences have been practiced together to allow the practitioners of yoga the advantage of optimal health and balance. Yoga and Ayurveda are not subjects you can just learn from reading books. We need teachers, hands on experience, personal instruction and the time to practice to learn who we are and what benefits our individual needs.

What I wish to share with you is some of the traditional advise that my teachers have shared with me through the years. Supporting the health of the body, mind and spirit, preventing injuries, imbalance and disease.

Both Ayurveda and Yoga help to enlighten our efforts of finding the inner harmony we all seek.
